Privacy policy
This policy explains what information EZ Home Offer (“we” or “us”) collects through ezhomeoffer.com, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you ask for an offer or contact us, you may give us:
- The property address and details about the house, such as its condition, your timeline, its mortgage status and your reason for selling
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Anything you write in a message to us
The offer form saves your answers as you go. If you start it and leave before finishing, we may still receive the answers you entered up to that point, such as the property address, so we can follow up about the property.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- Device and browser details, such as browser type, operating system and screen size
- The pages you view, what you click, the site that referred you, and when you visited
- Your approximate location, based on your IP address, which we use to suggest nearby addresses as you type
- Session recordings of how visitors move through the site, such as clicks, scrolling and page changes, so we can find and fix problems. Text you type into form fields is masked and isn’t captured in these recordings.
We use cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, for this analytics.
How we use information
- To prepare your offer and contact you about your property by phone, text or email
- To buy your property, or assign our purchase contract to another buyer, and to complete the sale through a title company
- To run, secure and improve the site, including preventing spam and fraud
- To measure how our advertising performs
- To comply with the law and protect our rights
How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share it only:
- With service providers that run parts of the site for us: hosting (Vercel), email delivery of form submissions (Resend), analytics and session recordings (PostHog), and address suggestions (Mapbox, with Geoapify as a backup). The text you type in the address box is sent to the address provider to find matching addresses.
- With the people needed to complete a sale: title and escrow companies and, if we assign our purchase contract or partner with another investor on your property, that buyer or partner, who receives the property details and your contact information as needed to complete the purchase.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of anyone.
- If our business is sold or reorganized, as part of that transaction.
Advertising, tracking and Do Not Track
If we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, Meta’s pixel tells Meta when a visitor starts our offer form or reaches the contact step, so we can measure our ads. It doesn’t receive your answers. Meta may connect that activity with your activity on other sites and apps under its own privacy policy. Our analytics provider also collects information about your use of our site over time.
Our site doesn’t respond to browser Do Not Track signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control: when your browser sends that signal, we don’t load Meta’s pixel.
Your choices
- You can stop filling out the form at any point. We only receive what you entered.
- Tell us to stop calling, texting or emailing you at any time, and we will.
- Ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you by emailing offer@ezhomeoffer.com. We may need to confirm it’s you first, and we may keep records the law requires us to keep.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work as well.
If California law gives you additional rights over your information, contact us to use them.
How long we keep information
We keep offer requests and related messages for as long as we need them to work with you and for our business records, then delete them. Analytics data and session recordings are kept for a limited period set by our analytics provider. Our service providers store information in the United States.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No website or storage system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is for adults selling property. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll also note it on the site.
